History and Reputation

The IB Diploma Program was created in 1968 and is a demanding pre-university curriculum for motivated juniors and seniors. It is recognized worldwide for rigor and excellence. Franklin High School IB candidates have gone on to study at Stanford, Yale, the University of California system, U.S. military academies, and other prestigious institutions.

The grading system is criterion-referenced: student performance is measured against clear achievement levels that are consistent globally.
