Community Service

As part of the IB Program requirements, students must complete a prescribed number of community service hours each year. Student safety is our top priority, so please help students choose appropriate opportunities.

What Counts as Community Service?

  • Tutoring other students on campus during tutoring hours
  • Tutoring younger students at an elementary school
  • Helping at any school or IB event
  • Participating in school events (plays, music performances, art showcases, etc.)
  • Organizing and running a club
  • Promoting a school or community event
  • School beautification projects
  • Volunteering at your church
  • International causes (UNICEF, PETA, Save the Children, etc.)
  • Helping a neighbor with yardwork or housework (unpaid)
  • Volunteering at an elementary school
  • Almost anything that helps our community
